Hi Babe,
Weird night sleep. Lola woke my around 3:00, took awhile to get back to sleep, finally managed it, but ended up getting up late again. Spent most of the day trying to find Lola a Physical Therapist somewhere north of here. Turns out I'll be skipping Bloomington and heading straight to my friend Joyce, who lives west of Indianapolis. I've contact multiple facilities around the middle of the state, including Purdue University Veterinary Hospital (who isn't accepting new patients until JULY!! Really??), and I'm having difficulty finding someone who can get us in. I finally managed to make an appointment for next Friday with a woman who lives very close to Joyce, but who won't be around to do followup, though she said she would teach me what to do so I can keep it up after the appointment, but I don't know how Lola is going to manage until then. There's also another facility I'm going to try to call tomorrow, also near Indianapolis. Today when I took her out, she collapsed on her hind end while peeing, then barely made it back to the trailer. It hurts her when I help her and hurts her when I don't help her, I feel so helpless! I ordered a special harness that is supposed to help, but that can't be delivered until next week, so I'm still at a loss as to what to do. I put the heating pad on her, and today I finally managed to do a red light treatment. I don't know if it will help, but she definitely seemed to have a reaction to it when I used it. Don't know if it was good or bad, though. I moved the horses from the hitching rail on the back side of the trailer to the front side where they're supposed to be, since according to the reservation page, someone is coming in next to me tomorrow. I also took down the highline, and made deviled eggs for the potluck dinner tomorrow. By the end of the day, the campground was mostly full. I was assigned my volunteer duty as pulse timer tomorrow and ribbon retriever on Saturday, had dinner with the other volunteers (a very small group!), stayed for the riders meeting, then back to the trailer. Tried to get Lola out again, she came down the stairs, fell down, cried, and wanted back up the stairs. I sure hope she can hold out until next week! This is pure torture, for both of us! Anyway, finally settled down for the evening, off to bed soon. Good night, darlin'! Love you!
