Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020 – Another Lazy Hay Day

Hey Sweetie,
I’m obviously getting into the swing of these lazy, end of summer days. Another great night sleep, and right after chores I found a guy selling hay that was only about 15 minutes away. Evidently most of what they grow around here is about 70 percent alfalfa, 30 percent orchard grass, and if I wanted a lower ratio I’d have to travel 40 minutes, so I decided to go for the more rich stuff, but at $6 a bale it was hard to pass up. Maybe since it’s not pure alfalfa it won’t make the horse go completely crazy, but I don’t mind a little extra pep, especially in my old slug, Apollo. That didn’t take long, though I didn’t transfer it to the trailer yet, I thought it would be easier if I can back up into the side door, but there’s no room at the moment, too many campers. I debated about going for a ride, but I really like to take Lola with me, and I didn’t want to be on the trail with so many other people, especially kids, it might have created a conflict. I haven’t seen anyone else take a dog on the trail so I suspect it’s frowned upon, but if I wait until it’s less crowded, I supposed it wil be okay. After all, I did it twice last week already. Anyway, I spent most of the day reading, playing the occasional computer game, and finished off with some more Voyagers. I’m down to the end of the last season, so I’ll be looking for something else soon. And now, it’s that time again! Good night, babe! Love you!
