Tuesday, October 28, 2025 – Another Rainy Day With Some Challenges

Hey Sweetie,
So happy and snug with my flannel sheets! I missed them, and am so glad to have them back on my bed! It rained throughout the night, and sprinkled off and on all day, so another dreary, drizzly, gray, dirty day. Sorry to say my furnace did not straighten itself out last night or this morning, so my first extracurricular chore was to look at that. Unfortunately, I never could get it working properly, despite vacuuming, blow-drying and resetting it numerous times. Since the temps here were a high of about 53 degrees, it was kind of a chilly day, inside and out. I dressed in lots of extra layers, then ran my generator for awhile so that I could use the electric fireplace to take the chill off. I remembered I had a small space heater, so I put that in the bedroom so that when I ran the generator in the evening, I could warm up the bedroom a bit. I had a hard time getting a cell phone signal again today, until finally about 4:30 I was able to get online, so I did my stuff, then managed to get the TV going for awhile. My latest series binge is Bones, which I'd never seen before but had heard of. Not bad, though I do get a little tired of all the gruesome ways that people kill other people, which is why I quit watching CSI when it started springing up in various other cities than Vegas way back in the day. Then my generator quit on my a couple of times, and I ended up having to put some oil in it, as it was the auto shutoff working. I think I have a little oil leak somewhere, it seems wet with oil, so that's another chore I need to add to my list of things to do. The horses aren't all that thrilled with being out in the rain, despite having their rain blankets on, but I kept them happy by putting out a bunch of hay several times during the day, since there's not really enough grass to satisfy them. Amazingly, when I came out in the morning, the corral gate was wide open, but they were still standing in the corral! What Good horses! Planning on going to bed early, can't wait to snuggle back up into my flannel sheets! Good night, darlin'! Love you!
