Woke up with a really bad sore throat (that's what happens when I go shopping on a Saturday when it's crowded!) and had to use some throat spray just to be able to swallow. May have a fever, too, but every dang thermometer I have doesn't work, even the mercury ones, and the best one, the one that you just touch to your forehead, I couldn't find, so I'm just guessing. Had a busy day, though, doing a lot of little things, the ones that need doing before I can leave here. I picked up the flatbed trailer that I've borrowed from Yvette, who is just delighted to be trading space to store my Buick for the free use of my tractor. Not surprisingly, when I told my brother Glenn that I was coming to get my tractor, he suddenly decided he had a use for it, but it's too late, I've already promised it. I had to do a little work on that trailer to get it roadworthy, like duct-tape one of the taillights, lubricate the hitch and fill all the tires with air. I fixed up the front of my LQ trailer with some more silver duct tape, too, as it keeps getting ripped off and opening up to the elements, hopefully this will last a bit longer with better placement. I did a couple of loads of laundry, fixed a hook for holding up my storage doors, and just some general stuff to keep progressing the plot. Did a thorough cleaning of the bathrooms at the campground, including emptying all the trash cans, which the rangers, who were working on putting a new door on the pump house (the previous one was completely rotted out), took back to the office to throw out. I have an early morning tomorrow, taking the truck in for a good once-over inspection, possibly new ball joints and whatever else needs doing before I head back north. Watch a cute rom-com, and am making plans to get to bed early! Can't believe we started another month today, time is flying! Good night, babe! Love you!
