Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 – Trail Cleanup Day

Since we’re here for the endurance race next weekend, and I’m going to be running around on the trails out here anyway, I contacted the race organizer, Jo, and volunteered to help in any way I could. Today there was a planned trail cleanup day which I joined, and from 8-noon we were out on the trails trimming and cutting and generally getting rid of some of the face-smacking overgrowth I ran into on the trail the other day. The four of us women, Jo, me Evelyn and DeeDee managed to get quite a lot done, and there were several other groups out in other areas of the forest as well. By the time we finished, Jo asked me to do some trail marking near the camping area, and to help next Monday with some more trail-marking as well, and some other chores to help prepare for the race, and I was more than happy to help. Soon it was time to get Hubby on dialysis, and we spent the rest of the afternoon doing that, before settling in for the evening.
