Monday, June 2, 2025 – Almost Back to the Old Normal!

Hey Darlin'!
For the first time in a LONG time, I finally got my full eight hours of sleep, plus I laid in for a couple of hours reading, so I'm definitely on the track of getting back to normal! Obviously I felt much more refreshed, had a relaxing morning, let the horses eat a good meal before saddling up Flash and heading out to the loop that I was tasked to remove markers from. Only thing was, there were almost NO markers to remove! Obviously someone took the initiative to take them down, but that was fine, Flash and I had a wonderful ride anyway. The trails here are mostly just the way I like them, single track, up and down hills and through the woods, though this loop had a lot more gravel roads on them than yesterday. Flash had his boots on, so he didn't seem at all bothered by it, though the hills were definitely a bit taxing for him, since he's been a flatlander for the past seven months, and hardly getting ridden for the last several. It shouldn't take too long to get him (and me!) back into shape. I took some ibuprofen this morning, and wasn't in any pain at all today. Just a little inflammation, so when I got back I iced it down with a frozen water bottle for awhile. At one point I dozed off, despite all the sleep I got, so I guess I'm still recovering. Took Apollo for a little walk around camp just to break the monotony, and settled down to dinner and a movie, per my usual old normal! So happy to be back on the road again! Can't stay south too long, though, the temps are heating up again. Need to make some plans once I get to my next stop at Linda's. Had a great time here in Dawsonville, though, so glad I pushed hard to make it here! Good night, sweetie! Love you!
