Hey Darlin',
Was woke up before 6:00 by the sound of Flash whinnying, sure enough, Apollo got hungry and busted through the fence, heard him munching the hay beneath me. Flash soon followed, so I had to get up and fix the fence and give them more hay. Managed to get a little more sleep, then got up and got busy. So many things have been ignored with the busy month I've had, so I managed to get a couple done before I saddled up Flash and took him for a short but fast ride. Under seven miles, but at nearly 7 mph the entire way, and it was wonderful. Meanwhile, Art took Lola for a walk, then eventually we met up at Willard's to have lunch with Helen. Stopped by Jo's on the way back to drop off some stuff, then Apex to look at the parking situation before getting back to camp and doing a few more things. Braided a bunch of bale string, got enough for awhile now! Put some stuff away, filled up with enough water to get me through the rest of the weekend, fixed the solar fence charger, which had the wire pulled out when the horses escaped this morning, and did as much as I could until after 5:00 when I called it quits. Busy day! Still have a lot to do tomorrow, though. Heading to bed shortly! Good night, sweetheart! Love you!

Friday, January 2, 2026 – Busy Day
Hiya Sweetie,
Had another good long night of sleep, feeling a bit more refreshed this morning after my day off yesterday, and got busy pretty quick. I had a book order I needed to fulfill, so I got that ready, then I did the voiceover for the Taste of Goethe PSA, then I looked through the boxes that I've been storing the Buick and discovered five or six were just very old taxes that I can get rid of, and that made enough room for several boxes that were in the passenger seats to go in the trunk, so now at least I can carry Lola and/or people. I drove it up to Helen's house, with Art meeting me there, and we were going to take Helen to lunch, but she had her wellness concierge coming to check on her, so we decided to wait until tomorrow. After Art dropped me back off at Tidewater, I grabbed my propane tanks and headed into Dunnellon, stopping first at the Post Office to drop off the book order, but there was a long line so that took about 20 minutes. Then I stopped to pick up my mail, then diesel and the Walmart station, then some shopping at Walmart, then to Tractor Supply for propane, but they STILL didn't have any. I had called at least four times, each time they said it would definitely be in, but still no joy by 4:00. I even called the gas company, and their response was the delivery was "tentatively" scheduled for today! So I was running out of time, so I went up to the Feed and Seed store and filled my tanks there. More expensive, but at least now they're full! Raced back home, put groceries and propane tanks away, fed the horses, and just managed to make it back to Willards to meet Art for dinner, then headed over to Chelle's for a Taste of Goethe meeting, finally getting home around 9:00. Whew! What a day! Seems like that's going to be the them for the next few days as well! Tea, shower and bed for me! Good night, babe! Love you!
Thursday, January 1, 2026 – Recovery Day
Hey Babe,
Finally had a day where I could let the adrenaline subside and crash! It started with getting over eight hours of sleep (now that the furnace is working and it was nice and toasty inside), and then spending the rest of the day doing just about nothing, which is exactly what I needed to do (or NOT do!) today. While I was tempted to do housework, I resisted the urge and simply read most of the day, settled into a couple of hours of TV in the evening, and little else all day. Needless to say I'm feeling more rested, and yet I can feel the need to get to bed soon and get another good night sleep. Hopefully tomorrow I will be ready to get busy again, as I have a lot to accomplish this weekend. Good night, my darlin'! Love you!
